In 2009, Bumble Bee Foods proudly partnered with Breast Cancer Network of Strength® to help make a difference in the lives of those touched by breast cancer. Now, in 2010, Bumble Bee's BeeWell for Life program is back and stronger than ever before!
In years past, the program's kick off date was in line with the Network of Strength's nationwide Mother's Day walks. New this year, you can make your miles matter starting today! From January through the end of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October, you'll now be able to 'Bee The Difference' by logging your miles to benefit a worthwhile cause. We challenge you to get active by walking, cycling or running – then logging your miles in your BeeWell for Life account. We provide you with all the tools you need to make the most of your healthy lifestyle! This includes insightful weekly blog posts found throughout the site! In ‘Bee Active', you will find helpful tips by Coach Jenny. In ‘Bee Delicious', you will find nutritional guidance from Willow & Stephanie. Or, turn to ‘Bee Social' to find an array of lively conversations from the BeeWell for Life community.
And, for every mile you log in your account, Bumble Bee will make a $0.15 donation to the Breast Cancer Network of Strength. We once again challenge all of us to walk 1 million miles as a community. Just by doing so, Bumble Bee will donate an additional $50,000 to Breast Cancer Network of Strength for a total donation of $200,000!
In 2009, we donated $150,000. This year, let's go above and beyond to do our part so that no one has to face breast cancer alone. You can Bee The Difference. Join us.

Breast Cancer Network of Strength® provides immediate emotional relief to anyone affected by breast cancer.
YourShoes® is Breast Caner Network of Strength’s peer support program that includes a 24/7 breast cancer center staffed by trained breast cancer survivors providing peer support through a toll-free hotline, e-mail and support groups.
Breast Cancer Network of Strength raises money to fund YourShoes, outreach programs, breast health awareness workshops, wigs and prostheses banks for women with limited resources, and advocacy on breast cancer related policies.
Watch to learn how Network of Strength provides immediate emotional relief. The cornerstone of the organization is peer support. Mimi Kaplan and Ann Marcou founded the organization 30 years ago. These women found themselves dealing with breast cancer diagnosis during a time when no one talked about the disease. They quickly realized the rewards of helping others who had diagnosis and began support groups nationwide as well as a hotline. 30 years later, these services are just as important. They are delivered by breast cancer survivors who know first-hand what it is like to walk in the shoes of someone who is facing the disease.
